Nemoland 2009!
Thursday, May 21st, 2009Nemoland - behind the scenes of science fiction and fantasy, organized by Accademia NEMO NT of Florence, returns this year thanks to the Province of Florence and their sensibility towards innovation.
The Workshop gives young Florentine students the possibility to know the secrets “behind” the creation of the characters for the animation and the realization of models.
Through their designs two authors unveil “live” computer animation and unedited film segments and how to become a first class professional.



A unique occasion for students to meet with 3 artists:
Florian Satzinger, as a former student of the legendary Disney, MGM and Hanna-Barbera animator and animation director Ken Southworth (”Alice In Wonderland”, “Cinderella”, “Tom & Jerry”, “Woody Woodpecker”, “The Flintstones”), Florian Satzinger’s style is heavily influenced by the classical animation form. Having worked as an art director and animation designer in various fields.
Paolo Chiari, sculptor model maker and creative of characters. Known all over the world his characters Fantasy realized in mud or wood.
Alex Orrelle is the creative director and animator of the Pixar films “The Incredibles” “Finding Nemo”, “Monster Inc.” and other TV series.
